The new blog features cool things like top level page navigation and storage space for podcasting, PDF files, and Word documents. I hope to make use of these new features as soon as possible. Currently there is still much to do to get the site in its final form, but until then check it out and let me know what you think.

When the Fertility Clinic Meets the Abortion Clinic: A Modern Paradox

The LA Times featured an Op-Ed article entitled The abortion debate brought home and the tagline: “He and his wife have always been pro-choice; recently, they were forced to make the Choice.” The article details the experiences of a husband and wife who, unable to have children, having underwent two previous unsuccessful in-vitro fertilizations underwent a third. The issue was not; however, with the procedure but its results, namely more children than they wanted. The article describes a paradox that may sadly be the every increasing norm.

A Brief Respite from Finals Week

This is the last week of class at TMS and next week is finals week so I do not have time to post much. However, I thought I would pass along an interesting post from the Logos Bible Software Blog entitled Smokers Drive Up Costs of Bibles the article is both interesting and contains a very humorous photo, enjoy. I would also recommend that you go to Mark Driscoll's blog and watch The Banned Church Planting Video it is only eight minutes and worth the time.

A Tragic Reminder of the Human Condition

After the tragic Virginia Tech massacre yesterday news sites everywhere, I think Der Spiegel’s article A Chronicle of the Worst Rampages Ever issues an important reminder, that such senseless violence is not limited to a particular country, a particular age group, nor a particular time in history; it is a tragic aspect of the human condition. Already and in the days that will follow there is sure to be much critical discussion on how such tragedies can be avoided. As followers of Christ, we must remind ourselves that while gun control, intensified security, and other precautions may control the symptoms of this condition they do not address the cause, man’s sin, to which the Gospel is the only answer.
